20-Year Anniversary; Stb CRM Mobile App and Worknets.com officially launched in AprilStb is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, thus marking a major milestone. We are pleased and honored that our current portfolio still includes many of our very first clients. We believe that one of the reasons for the trust we enjoy from our customers, in addition to the good relationship we build with them, is our innovative character. Last year, we aligned the whole user interface of the standard Stb applications with the latest standards in the field; in April this year, the Stb CRM Mobile app and Worknets.com were launched officially. Worknets.com: the social media environment that "connects" organizations, just like LinkedIn connects people. It's a unique concept. Many companies are looking for the business added value of social media on the B2B market. Worknets.com facilitates cooperation among organizations around a joint goal or project. Two weeks ago, the Stb CRM Mobile app got accepted in Apple's App Store without any comments or criticism whatsoever. It's an application we're proud of, bringing direct added value to our existing Stb Members, Stb Training, Stb CRM, and Stb Project users. The mobile app will also be available for Android in June. Last but not least: on June 12, we're hoping to welcome you aboard the SS Rotterdam for our 20th anniversary workshop focusing on innovation. For more information on this inspiring day and how to register, please read A look at the future with a glimpse at the past: 12.06.12!. See you on June 12! Rob Goijen, Manager

Stb: in business for 20 years
With Worknets.com, Stb brings something unique on the market in the field of social media. It connects organizations, thereby placing the common goal at the very center. Use of mobile technology is becoming increasingly widespread. With this in mind, Stb is going to launch its mobile platform at the end of this quarter. There are significant developments in the standard package. Last year, investments were made in the user interface and connectivity. This year, the focus is on further integration with social media and a richer functionality. The organization is growing as planned. At this moment, Stb employs 47 professionals. The beginning of the year marked Stb's first careful steps on the American market. Ambius USA, a division of Rentokil, chose Stb CRM mid last year. The first implementation was successfully launched in February. To sum up, there is a lot going on. Lots of positive experiences and great opportunities. We will certainly not let our 20th anniversary go by like an ordinary day. On June 12th, 2012, we are organizing a workshop for our partners, in celebration of this event. ICT-enabled innovation will be the main topic. Interesting speakers will take the floor, including a leading trendwatcher. We hope to have you there with us as well. Rob Goijen
Stb becomes an IBM Business Partner
SAAS stands for "Software as a Service", which involves applications being available directly over the web and running within the cloud. The concept is an all-encompassing solution, which takes care of hosting, back-ups, hardware, and updates. With SAAS, you pay a monthly fee, rather than making an upfront investment. IBM's decision to work with Stb was based on the latter's innovative solutions, technical progress, and the ability of all applications to run in the cloud over the web.

FileMaker in BusinessOn Thursday, February 23rd, Stb organized a workshop together with FileMaker and ECXS Information Systems, to present the opportunities FileMaker has to offer in terms of business-critical applications on iPad/iPhone. Another key point focused on how organizations can approach bigger FileMaker projects on a larger scale. The topics proved to be quite hot and attracted over 40 people. Thomas Kunets from FileMaker explained the possibilities offered by FileMaker Go. Dick Honing from ECXS showed how to synchronize the iPad with the back-end environment, even when there is no online connection available. Rutger Slager also illustrated how FileMaker can be implemented in larger projects, using a short cyclic development method (Scrum). There will be a follow-up workshop organized by Stb, FileMaker, and ECXS this summer. The core topic will be the modernization of FileMaker applications.
Association 3.0: how do you facilitate cooperation among your members and stakeholders? There are many changes going on in the world of sectoral and professional associations. Think of the coming generation, which is used to a completely different way of working together and using tools such as social media. This group will not be willing to join an association unless it offers visible and concrete added value. Many associations already have a member portal or network to make information available to members and stakeholders. During the first Association 3.0 workshop, held on January 27, Stb introduced the brand new concept of Worknets, which facilitates cooperation among members, stakeholders, associations, and organizations, enabling users to contribute content and create added value by means of cooperation and sharing. The attending sectoral and professional associations reacted with great enthusiasm. The following workshop is planned for Wednesday, April 18. Stb distinguishes three areas of interest for associations/organizations:

Stb launches version 6.1Stb 6.1 brings several improvements. It is an update of the existing multiple-location functionality. This new version makes it possible to display data (e.g. organizations, people, offers, and invoices) separately by location. It enables the system administrator to specify which location-specific data each user has access to. The advantage is that master data (articles, users, templates, option lists, etc.) can be managed centrally. Another novelty of this update is the ability to define keyboard shortcuts. Thanks to this functionality, an application administrator can assign keyboard shortcuts to important and frequently used functions. Once a keyboard shortcut has been defined, it is displayed in a tool tip. Several useful system keyboard shortcuts have also been added, such as Ctrl+H for the widget home menu and Ctrl+left arrow for returning to the previous screen. In addition to the above, version 6.1 also has various smaller improvements:
Stb CRM commissioned at Ambius North AmericaFollowing the successful completion of the User Acceptance Test (UAT), the implementation of Stb's CRM system started at the beginning of the year. Ambius North America, a division of Rentokil Initial PLC, is gradually implementing the new system in all its 40 offices spread throughout the United States and Canada. At Ambius' request, Stb assisted the implementation in the New York and Washington regions, where the users have already started working with the new system and are completely satisfied with it. The organization chose to name the system uniQue. A festive celebration marked the system going live. The broad applicability of this solution to the sales and after-sales activity, combined with its flexibility, brings added value within the sales organization. The marketing, sales, pre-sales, and after-sales employees are going to use Stb's system. Stb has already implemented its CRM system in the countries belonging to Ambius's European organization.
Goodbye 2011, hello 2012!
2011 is almost over. It's been a prosperous year for Stb. The company has continued to grow along the set course and has also brought a few new people aboard. Stb has also had the pleasure to welcome many new clients. 2011 has been marked by much innovation and product updates. Not only do these developments form an advantage for our existing clients, but we also view them as a guarantee of further growth. Even though 2012 is expected to be marked by uncertainty at macroeconomic level, Stb is optimistic about the near future. The forecasts for the first half of the year are definitely positive. We hope you also see 2012 as a year of possibilities. Thank you for the trust you are showing us. The Stb team wishes you and your loved ones happy holidays and a wonderful 2012! Jan Willem Broekman, Rutger Slager, and Rob Goijen

Stb puts the ball into playAs of November 14, 2011, the HC Houten Veteran A team has got new sponsor outfits. Stb has signed a three-year agreement with this veteran hockey flagship. Stb's motto, "The power of connecting", is well put forward in this sport and especially in this team, considering their good performance so far. HC Houten is currently ranked second in the competition. Stb wishes the team lots of success. We greatly value the sponsoring of local sport teams. In addition to hockey, Stb also sponsors the Strijdo tennis association in Oosterhout and the first gentlemen's team.
The Association Management Annual CongressOnce again, Stb has participated in the Association Management Annual Congress this year, which was organized at the beautiful Louwman Museum in The Hague. This year, the congress topic was "Changing Chances". It is clear that the position of sector and umbrella organizations, as well as that of charity institutions, is going to change during the following years. Not so much from the "ivory tower" as with and for the members. Offering added value is becoming increasingly important. At the annual congress, Stb and Worknets.com launched the new Worknets social media concept. Whereas platforms such as LinkedIn and Facebook connect people (at a personal level), Worknets.com connects organizations. Employees participate in a cooperation on behalf of organizations. This cooperation, i.e. the common goal, is the main focus here. It is a completely new way for associations to enable committees to work effectively, as well as to facilitate cooperation among members. It goes without saying that Worknets.com also supports integration with LinkedIn and Twitter, for instance. This pioneering connection platform has received many positive reactions. That is why a follow-up session on this topic has been planned for January 27. You can register at www.worknets.com/demo.
The Stb CRM "Mobile Module"Stb is going to launch the "Mobile Module" of Stb CRM during the first quarter. All remote employees will then be able to query all basic CRM data, as well as location-related data using a native app on their phone. This app will first be available for iPhone, with an Android version to follow during the second quarter. In addition to that, the basic functionality of the Worknets.com social media platform is going to be integrated with Stb CRM. LinkedIn and Twitter are already an integral part of Stb CRM. At this point, you can query the latest tweets and LinkedIn information about a related entity from within the CRM system. Finally, an advanced integrated information management module is going to be launched for Stb Members, Training, and Trade during the first half of the year. It goes without saying that we've also got lots of smaller functional and technical innovations in store for the year to come. To be brief, Stb will once again invest as much as possible in innovation in 2012.
New clientsDuring the past months, Stb has succeeded in landing several nice jobs with various leading companies and organizations. A few telling names include: Distri Data, Actys Wonen, Brandwonden Stichting (Dutch Burns Foundation), Stichting Oerol (Oerol Foundation), HEC ROI, Vereniging Openbaar Onderwijs (Public Education Association), and the Nederlandse Kamer van Koophandel voor België en Luxemburg (Dutch Chamber of Commerce for Belgium and Luxembourg).
Stb Members successfully implemented at ANKOANKO, has successfully implemented the Stb Members software in three months. This implementation has brought immediate benefits for ANKO. ANKO is an organization that brings together 6,400 hairdressing entrepreneurs, whose interests it represents. One of the things it does for this purpose is to provide a good collective agreement, as well as offering collective and individual services. It also operates as a consultant and information provider for all hairdressing entrepreneurs. The organization adjusts to the wishes and needs of the various member groups. ANKO started looking for a solution that could properly support its process as a sector organization and that the users would like to work with. Additionally, it was instrumental that the solution should be implemented well within an established time frame, which made it important to think proactively along with ANKO. Stb proved capable to fulfill all these aspects. "We chose Stb's system for its user-friendliness. Our employees are making more use of the CRM capabilities than before," says ANKO Internal Affairs Manager Martine Blom. ANKO is using Stb Members, based on CRM, with member, training/event and project management modules linked with Exact Globe for accounting.
Forecasts on social media: A necessary evil or an opportunity?
For a long time, we, at Stb, have been talking about the role and added value of social media for our clients. This does not mean the ability to integrate with Linkedin, Facebook or Twitter. Stb product lines have had that feature for some time now. But we were looking for something more fundamental than that. The above-mentioned social media platforms are centered around the individual – namely, around the concept of "ME". But Customer Relationship Management (CRM) thinks in terms of organizations, roles, and relationships and facilitates a company's incoming and outgoing communication. Concerning social media, we saw the need for a solution that could facilitate cooperation connections, along with the purposes they logically result in. In Stb's vision, the "power of we" had to be central, rather than the individual. This has led to Worknets.com, a unique and novel social media platform for companies and cooperation among organizations. Worknets is going to arrive on the market in November and will already be implemented in a few companies at the time of the launch. It is available as a standalone platform, as well as integrated with Stb product lines such as Stb Members and Stb Training. Stb is convinced that social media brings lasting changes to the way we communicate. It is definitely not a necessary evil, but rather a great opportunity! Worknets.com is not Stb's only innovation. As of mid-October, version 6.0 of our standard suite is also available. All Stb applications have been fully restyled during the past six months, over 1600 screens have been redeveloped, so that they now have a very contemporary look and feel. Moreover, the user can now add "widgets" to their own application homepage. We are proud to announce both Worknets and version 6.0, which have received positive reactions from our clients and prospects. In addition, we are also preparing a cooperation with DmCards. This is a direct mailing concept that enables users to send personalized cards directly to the customers by post, from within the Stb application. The logistics are fully taken care of, from the creation phase to the actual dispatch. In short, the "Growth by Innovation" slogan stems from the very substance of Stb and is what we are aiming to prove, time and again. Rob Goijen |
